Comparing local Utah solar companies is vital to your solar investment. We have reviewed some of Utah’s solar companies for you to compare. While we like to think we do the best job, there are a lot of Utah solar companies with whom you can entrust your solar experience. It all just depends on what you’re looking for and what you value most.
How to View Utah Solar Ratings
Getting good reviews is great, but a resolved bad review is also a sign of a quality solar company. If a company only has a couple of minor complaints, the company is worth looking into. On the other hand, if you see multiple of the same types of complaints, you will want to reconsider and look at other options.
This not only demonstrates that the company is unprofessional, but also doesn’t take customer complaints seriously/and or forgets to optimize experiences based on customer and prospect feedback. Do note, however, that most happy customers don’t get online to leave great reviews.
If a person is going online to write something about a Utah solar company, it is usually because they have a complaint. So, that considered, a company with 5 positive reviews and 5 negative reviews is probably a decent company.
Go Solar Group: BBB and Facebook Ratings
From the Utah solar customer success videos Go Solar Group has to the Google reviews, which are largely positive, Facebook, and Better Business Bureau recognition, we are proud of the way we’ve serviced our prospects and customers, but we certainly aren’t perfect.
Go Solar Group has been in business in Utah for 6 years. We have an A+ BBB rating with 7 reviews. Two of these reviews were complaints about advertising.
On Facebook, we have a 4.7 rating out of 20 reviews. The only one-star rating was a job that a roofer completed, who Go Solar Group referred the customer to. This means the complaint was not based on a a Utah solar experience.
The few complaints over the past 6 plus years is a good sign, but like any business, there is room for improvement. Go Solar Group provides quality customer service and wants to know if there’s a kink in their armor. If you have had a good experience in the past or would like to help us be aware of an area we can improve on please reach out.
BBB and Facebook Ratings for Solar Companies in Utah
Facebook ratings will give you a good idea of customer satisfaction, and most Utah solar companies don’t spend as much time trying to clean up dirt on this platform, so you can find more skeletons in the company’s closet in that medium if they do, in fact, exist. This is because those who post a review on Facebook have their profile attached to that rating.
The Better Business Bureau (BBB) rates businesses. Solar companies in Utah are not exempt from these ratings. These ratings come from complaint history, time in business, transparent business practices, failure to honor their commitments to BBB, licensing, and advertising verity/issues.
A business with a high rating and solid customer reviews says a lot about the trade of interest, and it matters even more with solar because so much goes into the process that prospects may not be aware of.
Auric Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings
Auric solar has been in business for 8 years and has an A+ rating with the BBB. They have a total of 13 reviews on their site. 6 of these reviews are complaints. The majority of their complaints were product and service-related. On Facebook Auric has a 4.5-star rating from 127 reviews. only 12 of these reviews were one-star ratings, which is pretty solid. Most of these complaints had to do with pushy salesman and bad customer service. This company does a good job, but you might feel forced into a sale. If you don’t want a pushy salesman, this may not be the company for you.
Inter-mountain Wind and Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings
Inter-mountain Wind and Solar has an A+ rating with the BBB. They have been in business for 9 years and have one review, which is a complaint about their service. On Facebook, Inter mountain Wind and Solar has a 4.5 rating. Their rating is out of 53 reviews. only 1 of these reviews has 1 star, and it was given because of customer service issues. If you value good customer service, for the most part, this company should be able to help you in going solar. There is a possibility that you will have an outlier experience like the individual who was unsatisfied with the customer experience had.
Vivint Solar: BBB and Facebook Ratings
Vivint Solar is not a BBB-accredited company. They have 586 customer complaints on the BBB site. Their Facebook page doesn’t even give the option to review. While a very big player in the alarm, security, and home IoT ventures, it is yet to prove itself a reliable staple in the Utah solar panels market.
Brio Solar Energy: BBB and Facebook Ratings
Brio Solar Energy has been in business for 3 years and has an A+ rating with the BBB. 20 out of their 40 reviews were complaints.
The majority of these complaints were service and advertising related. The reviews on their Facebook page are not viewable. From the above, it would stand to reason that customer service is not this company’s strong suit.
What to Look for and Watch Out for In A Utah Solar Installer
As you continue to look for a quality solar installer, keep an eye out for these red flags.
Extremely Low Bids from Utah Solar Panel Companies
If a company quotes an extremely low bid, you may want to be wary. Your Utah solar installer should know how low they can bid without going out of business or sacrificing customer experience for the gain of a low up-front price.
Certifications and Length of Time in Business
Working with a Utah solar installation company that has been running for at least three years will ensure a quality job. The longer the company has been in business with adequate certifications, the better.
